Roles in Media

Today in Employability, we were talking about the different roles in the media industry. There are apparently a lot of roles in the industry, such as,

• Editing
• Designing
• Reccee
• Location scouts
• Proof reader (possibly a lot)
• Production journalist
• Camera operator
• Floor manager
• Gallery director
• Script writer
• Multi-platform editor
• Bi-media editor
• Head of context

Leanne then gave us a task to talk each other about the skills of these roles

• Broadcast engineer: He/she is responsible in building or repairing equipment in a broadcasting studio
• Media planner: A media planner sources out anything in the industry for a client's brand or product to use

We then watched The Story behind the Poppy charity video.
